Some Year 6 children have been able to try a brand new activity out at Russell Scott this half term. They arrive at school at 8:15am every Thursday morning for a before school yoga club. They have been learning different postures and routines each week. It is a very calming activity that helps with flexibility, posture, strength and poise. Yoga is designed to allow children to switch off from their thoughts so they can relax and enjoy the exercise. They finish the session with some breakfast so they are ready for the day ahead, I’m sure this isn’t their favourite part! Take a look at how good we are becoming below.
